Brush Creek Ranch is home to some of the best fly fishing in Wyoming. We are proud to have been recognized by Orvis as one of their endorsed Wyoming fly fishing lodges, and continue to provide the ultimate fly fishing experience for enthusiasts from all over the world.

Our 30,000 acre ranch offers exclusive, private access to some of the most revered freestone fishing waters in the world. Brush Creek Ranch fly fishing takes place on over twenty miles of crystalline waters on Brush Creek, French Creek, the acclaimed North Platte River, and the Encampment River, accessible Brush Creek Ranch 4by waders or drift boat. Additionally the North Platte has miles of blue-ribbon waters for hearty brown and rainbow trout. Flowing beautifully through broad canyons and sloping valleys, this river is one of the most iconic fly fishing destinations in North America.

We also have a collection of highly productive stillwater fisheries on the Ranch, providing a scenic alternative style of fishing for all ages, in nearly any weather condition. I am a newbie and Michael my guide was so helpful and accommodating. He set me up for success while also allowing me to feel challenged and accomplished. He was very knowledgeable of the area and the fishing in the region. Best of all we had a blast! #SupportYourGuide -...

The Fish

Enjoy fly fishing on idyllic Brush Creek as it meanders through the property, as well as our Encampment River property. Leading environmental design firm, Walsh Environmental, provides ongoing stream enhancement, restoration and trout habitat support as part of our ongoing sustainability plan. From casting lessons to guided wading, the creek offers excellent holding water for brown trout and brook trout under a canopy of towering cottonwood trees.

We offer both wade and float fishing on private waters throughout the North Platte River valley, on rivers that course through canyons, open ranchland, forested areas and towering cottonwood groves. Trip lengths range from half-day to full-day excursions, with most of the fishing done from our low-side drift boats. Access to these freestone rivers, including the celebrated North Platte and Encampment rivers, is dependent on snowmelt and rainfalll, so our guides can recommend the ideal section based on current conditions during your stay. As a rule, floating is usually best from June through September. We also offer wade trips on some of the best water on the Upper North Platte. Depending on flows, wade fishing is usually the best way for anglers to really work a specific section of water.

Our collection of Ranch still water fisheries provide guests and alternative environment for highly productive fishing with either fly or spin gear. For many, nothing beats the exhilaration of getting a trophy trout to rise to a dry fly amidst placid waters as the sun rises or sets on distant peaks.
