The Bay of Green Bay has come on strong in the last few years as one of the top musky waters in the Midwest and the world! These waters have true world record potential! In the past few years, many fish in the 50lb range have been boated, and bigger fish are out there! Not only is this a trophy fishery, it also offers high action, with many multiple musky days. Spring and summer offer excellent casting opportunities and fall is trophy trolling time.

Green Bay has also become one of the top walleye destinations in the Midwest. Limits of eater sized walleyes are the norm from spring through summer. Trophy fish can be found throughout the bay, with the waters of Northern Door County providing some of the best big walleye action in the world. Depending on the time of year, fish can be caught using a variety of methods including jigging, casting, and trolling with crawler harnesses and crankbaits.

Joe Szarkowitz

Some anglers have a knack for trying to stay ahead of the game and always coming up with an innovative way to put fish in the boat; that being said, meet guide and tournament angler Joe Szarkowitz.  Joe lives in central Wisconsin with his wonderful and enabling wife Amy and their two beautiful daughters Evelyn and Amelia. When he’s not busy with family outings Joe can be found in the woods or on the water with his hunting and fishing companion Lucy, an English springer spaniel that loves to be in the outdoors almost as much as he does.

Having started out guiding and fishing tournaments at the age of 18, Joe has embraced the opportunity learn from some of the industry’s most knowledgeable and respected pros. Focusing on product review and research as of late, Joe has used almost every technique when it comes to landing big fish and “lot’s of ‘em!” He has worked closely with local community kids and the Wounded Warrior In Action Project believing that teaching and helping people in need is just one small way of helping out. Joe is always looking to teach the skills of angling.

When in the boat with Joe not only will you learn how to approach and fish an area correctly, but also different techniques that can be used on how to fish it. From trolling leadcore deep, to pitching jigs up shallow, or casting slip bobbers anywhere and everywhere, you will have a good time fishing with this self motivated fisherman.
