Central Florida has hundreds of lakes – with 554 lakes in Polk County alone – and is world-famous for it’s trophy largemouth bass fishing. Capt. Scott guides these waters full-time on a daily basis and he knows where those big fish live and hide.
TMC Guide Service is based in Winter Haven & Punta Gorda, FL and we are conveniently located close to Kissimmee, Orlando, Tampa/St. Pete, Clearwater, Cocoa Beach, Vero Beach, Disney World, Universal Studios, Legoland, and most of the major resorts, attractions, and cruise lines in Central Florida along with several baseball Spring Training facilities. Many of our Central Florida lakes are an easy drive from both coasts making us a perfect addition to your Florida vacation plans.
Capt. Scott specializes in fishing for Central Florida trophy largemouth bass with artificial baits, and the boat is loaded with a wide array of soft plastics (including worms, flukes, craws, and swim baits), topwater walking baits and frogs, jigs, punch baits for heavy mats & grass, and jerk baits. We will also help guests who wish to fish with live shiners. The most popular trips focus on fishing with artificial baits while occasionally using shiners to entice and fire-up a few big fish.
Our Charlotte Harbor / Boca Grande Pass saltwater trips are focused on chasing tarpon, redfish, snook, sea trout, cobia, sharks, snappers, sheepshead, and grouper. Of course seasons and weather are determining factors of which species is most prevalent and our best target. Most trips we have both live and artificial bait at the ready and let the fish tell us what they want that day, of course some spots are very specific either way and there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. Trips typically leave from either the Downtown Boat Ramp in Punta Gorda, or the Placida boat ramp out towards Gasparilla, but there are others to choose should the need arise.
For guests that need transportation, arrangements can sometimes be made for pick-up and drop-off to various resorts or hotels, please email Capt Scott Taylor or call 855-FL-GUIDE (855-354-8433) prior to booking a trip.
We invite you come out and spend a day in Sunny Central Florida with us and enjoy all that we have to offer!
We believe that fishing should be affordable for families and that is why our rates are lower than most guide services. You will get first-class service, experience, and equipment without the “luxury” price tag.
TMC Guide Services, LLC is a “Catch & Release” bass fishing guide service. If a guest catches a trophy-sized fish they want to keep for a wall mount, all measurements and photos will be taken so a replica can be made. We take great care to preserve our resources so that future generations can share what we enjoy.
Saltwater trips allow clients to keep all legal fish following MyFWC.com fishing regulations.
Eco Sightseeing trips are available on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes leaving from Port Hatchineha in Haines City and showcases Old World Florida in it’s natural state featuring alligators, eagles, osprey, and other wildlife. The Winter Haven South Chain of Lakes tour from Lake Summit near Legoland, is a journey through Winter Haven and it’s beautiful lakefront homes with ospreys, eagles, other wildlife, and occasional alligators.
